Chris Burkhalter

Chris plays upright bass and sings (from Bass to Tenor) harmony with the group. He began singing at a very early age with his nephew at local businesses on the Springtown square for pocket change, but didn't begin playing an instrument until the late 1970's.  He has played with several groups including Bluegrass Reunion, Timberline and even a Rock-a-Billy band.

Not only does Chris play a 'mean' bass, he is also an accomplished  musician on the guitar and mandolin. And not only does he have a good voice, he has 'many' voices.  Come to one of their shows prepared to be entertained.

Chris lives in Benbrook with his lovely wife, Ginger.  In his spare time (not sure when that is) he likes to garden and do wood working. A man of many talents.
