Our friend and former band member, David Miller has gone home to be with the Lord. On Thursday evening, June 21, 2007, David lost his battle with cancer. Our sympathy and prayers go out to his wife Susan and family. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

David started playing banjo at the age of 13 and developed a solid Earl Scruggs and Don Reno style. They were two of his favorite! David played in the Memphis, Tennessee area until he entered the U.S. Air Force in 1972. While in the Air Force he played with an award winning group. After leaving the Air Force, David went to work flying commercial aircraft for American Airlines. He played with several groups from Texas including: Salt Creek, Mountain Creek Express, and Pickin' Tymes. David retired from American Airlines last summer. And when he was diagnosed with cancer, he underwent a serious operation. He was able to join us for our annual Christmas party. A memory we will cherish forever.
